I charge per word. Pricing can vary depending on how much work needs to be done. I know that hiring an editor can be a substantial investment, which is why, for first-time clients, I will edit sample pages for free. If the book is longer than one hundred fifty pages, I will edit the first the first ten pages of your manuscript for free. If it's between fifty and one hundred fifty pages, I will edit the first five pages for free. If under fifty pages, I will edit the first two pages for free. That way, we can both decide if my editing style is a good fit for your book, and I can determine how much work needs to be done.
